3rd Ave Mile

We are super happy to announce a new race to the area. The 3rd Ave mile will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2010.

I was watching the 5th Ave Mile in New York City yesterday and getting super pumped about our own version! For our first year, we will hopefully have enough runners to split the race into a men’s race and a women’s race. As far as I know, there are no races in our area that separate genders.

We will be holding the race on the Marshall Marathon Weekend. This will give high school athletes who are coming off of their Cross Country season will have the opportunity to jump in a really quick mile race! Also, the marathoners who will be in town will be able to come out and watch the 1 mile race down 3rd ave.

3rd Ave. by Marshall University should be an exciting place to be on Saturday, November 6th!
